The American Visionary Art Museum

Located in Baltimore’s Federal Hill area, the American Visionary Art Museum is the home of art produced for and championed by the outsiders (known as “art brut” by many), or those artists without formal training. They feature art by self-taught artists from hundreds of years ago or contemporary times. They also feature all manner of artistic genre, including sculpture, machinery and painting.
With three floors of exhibition space, a Tall Sculpture Barn and Wildflower Garden, you won’t lack for experiences at the AVAM. Within the exhibition space, you can see works from world-famous self-taught artists like LeRoy V. Hoffberger, Vollis Simpson, and DeVon Smith.
Bengies Drive-In Theatre
