Ring in 2015 in Baltimore Style
The time has come to start planning your Baltimore New Year’s Eve; from a special dinner and fireworks to the biggest parties in the city, there is plenty to do and a variety of ways to make the occasion memorable.
To help you plan your New Year’s in beautiful Baltimore, ZBest Limousine has compiled a list of our favorite parties happening around the city.
Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular
On Wednesday, December 31st, head down to the Inner Harbor Amphitheater to check out a show by the home grown band Under the Covers to kick Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular at 9pm. They’ll give you a performance to remember filled with covers of some of the most popular Top 40s songs on the charts right now. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will then lead all of those in attendance in a countdown to midnight, when Image Engineering will put on an incredible fireworks display.
For those hoping to get the best and most unobstructed view of this amazing fireworks display, head over to the Inner Harbor Promenade. However, residents in the Federal Hill, Locus Point, Canton, Fells, Point, and Harbor East neighborhoods will also be able to see the fireworks show as well. If you’re unable to get out to participate in the festivities with your fellow Baltimoreans, the celebration will also be broadcast on WJZ-TV 13 starting at 11:30pm on CBS Baltimore.
Cruising the Harbor
Another great place to celebrate and see the fireworks on New Year’s Eve is on a boat in the harbor. You won’t have to worry about fighting the crowds for a good spot and you’ll be able to have the clearest view of the spectacular display of pyrotechnics the city of Baltimore has to offer.
Spirit Cruises is offering two different ways to celebrate, party, ring in the New Year, and see the incredible fireworks display that will be set off over the harbor. On the Inner Harbor Spirit, guests will enjoy a buffet-style dinner, party favors, open bar, champagne toast, and DJs spinning some great music, all in a festive atmosphere from 10:30pm to 1am. The Spirit of Baltimore ups the ante a bit in terms of class by giving attendees a much more intimate experience with a premium open bar, butlers serving hors d’oeuvres, and an elegant champagne toast. You’ll have the option to choose from the Gold or Platinum package for a customized experience. The cruise will go on from 9:30 until 12:30 but the dockside party won’t stop until 1am.
Steak and Celebrations!
Who doesn’t love steak? If you’re the type that can’t have a proper celebration or party without a delicious steak then you should definitely head over to McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood and Steaks for your New Year’s event. Set next to the Inner Harbor, you’ll have a great view of the spectacular fireworks event set off at midnight. Be sure to dress warmly so you can enjoy your meal outside on their patio before the big bang! In addition to some pretty amazing surf and turf options for your meal, they also offer up some pretty tasty cocktails, wines, and beers. You can make your New Year’s celebration here one for a big group or a cozy romantic night before kissing your significant other as the clock strikes midnight!
